What Makes Specialized Trauma Therapy Different?

While unique to each person, this is the general process we’ll go through to help shift your
physiology to ensure you’re not wasting your time or money in therapy for decades.

Identify the areas of your life where you have the most difficulty with getting hijacked or coping in ways that are no longer working for you. We'll identify your definition of 'success' and also explore the things that are possible when these patterns change to create our goals. I also like to provide empowering education about your nervous system.

psychotherapy, or intensives for existing clients.

Accelerate Your Progress with a Therapy Intensive

A therapy intensive, for existing clients only, involves meeting for 2-3 hours at a time, for one or more days, to work intensively using Brainspotting and other healing modalities, to clear whatever it is that’s holding you back. Having extra time in highly focused sessions like these can allow us to move through issues that could otherwise take weeks or months in regular weekly therapy. Brainspotting is known for its rapid and effective healing, as we’re taking advantage of the brain’s ability to change and heal itself (a.k.a.‘neuroplasticity’).

An intensive can be ideal when:
-You have a specific, targeted issue you want to work on.
-Your schedule is packed, unpredictable, and/or you travel out of Michigan frequently.
-You want to make faster progress in individual therapy.
-You feel stuck with an issue that you’re not making progress on in individual therapy.
-We have worked together before and you need a “tune-up,” but you don’t necessarily need ongoing therapy.

Payment is due at the time of session via credit card on client portal or Venmo

Appointments available Monday through Thursday 2pm-7pm ET. There may be availability F-Sun for Intensives.

Emily is not in network with any insurance companies, but is happy to provide monthly receipts (superbills) for insurance reimbursement on out of network benefits; VIP days not eligible.

The full fee is charged for sessions missed or canceled with less than 24 hours notice.
